Hey everybody,
Andy is taking a break from music to pursue other creative endeavors. He will be back someday, though!
In the meantime, please check out two of his favorite San Francisco bands:
Rockets: www.myspace.com/17rockets
Jack Conte: web.mac.com/jackconte (amazing stuff!)
I'll leave the bio up, for old times' sake:
Andy Moon is a college student that enjoys playing music, traveling, writing, and having fun. After years of classical violin training and botched efforts at forming a band, he took it upon himself to create music on his own.
The result? The 25th street ep, completed in New York City in the summer of 2004. Most of the recording took place using a single 99-dollar microphone, and sessions consisted of Andy cramming as much equipment as possible into various bathrooms in his cousin's apartment.
Andy is a classically trained violinist, and has performed in concerts and competitions in southeastern Michigan, California, New York, and Vermont. He began playing improvised music, recording a version of Jimi Hendrix's Purple Haze at the age of 14 (e-mail for a copy--). He went on to play bass for "The Moon Brothers Trio" and "The Ghostbusters" in 2000. However, he went to Korea in the summer of 2002 and 2003 and left Michigan for sunny California in 2002, where creative endeavors were somewhat stifled. Andy had attempted to write music before, but was always unhappy with the outcome and started dozens of songs but never finished them-- other things just took up all his time.
Andy more or less stopped playing pop/rock/jazz until the summer of 2004. While in New York City, he became a regular subway performer at Union Square, garnering critical acclaim from locals and underground music aficionados. Andy even convinced his brother to quit his job in Philadephia and take the Chinatown bus down to the city to play music (and explore the city scene!)
Finally, if you have crappy computer speakers, USE HEADPHONES (or find some speakers)!Your musical influences

Liked Two Alone and So Many People. Lyrics are easy to identify with and the arrangements are polished. Good work on the keys on people. All comments (6)
