Anaphase is a heavy metal project created, written, and recorded by Greg Thompson (myself), with help from contributing artists I met along the way. I composed all of the music, played all guitars, and programmed all drums. Justin Wehrell (JWOW) "Jenny" co-wrote and played all of the bass parts. Lee, Metallica, Scriabin, Liszt, Paganini, Van Halen, Rush, Yes, Cacophony, Slayer, Pantera, Testament, Anthrax, Queensryche, Megadeth, Marty Friedman, Derek Sherinian, Zaak Wylde, Evergrey, Soilwork, In Flames, Arch Enemy, Heart, Yngwie Malmsteen, Dream Theater, Nightwish, Symphony X, Eric Johnston, all kinds of pop music, etc. For this project, I was trying to mix some of the compositional techniques of 18th and 19th century symphonic and piano music with modern heavy metal.What equipment do you use?
