Join Ananda Lila to experience an eclectic-organic blending of Kirtan Chanting, Meditation and Sound Healing. As your musical hosts Ananda Lila will create a live musical soundscape to share participatory chanting with Sanskrit mantras, Sufi, Hindu and Buddhist devotional chants, Mindful Meditation and Sound Healing. Ananda Lila creates a Sufi kirtan sound with gypsy grooves, world music rhythms and transcendent voices; blending East Indian & Middle Eastern sounds with Klezmer, ambient and folk flavors. Our ensemble includes:

Ananda Lila is a Chicago based ensemble offering an eclectic-organic-shamanic soundscape for chanting and meditating. Ananda Lila's music features the accordion, violin, flute and clarinet in a Sufi kirtan with gypsy grooves, world music rhythms, and transcendent voices; blending East & Native Indian sounds with klezmer, ambient and folk flavors.
Ananda Lila loves to weave ancient chants from different paths and traditions with newly birthed sacred songs. To be timeless, primal or ancient, yet fresh and contemporary. To open hearts and voices with the intension of moving into silence, transformation and freedom.
Ananda Lila's energy is inspired by the teachings and wisdom of the Gita, Sufism, Osho, Shamanism, Sivananda, Zen, Amma, and Nada Yoga. Presenting shows and events since 2009, Ananda Lila members have enjoyed a wide variety of gigs at places such as: The Blue Lotus Buddhist Temple, Yoga Now Chicago, Kirtan Fest Milwaukee, The Theosophical Society, Chicago Worlds of Music, Unity Church, Bodhi Center and Life Force Arts Center.
