Were A Midnight Octave from Puyallup Washington near Tacoma and trying to be a different band, have fun hope you like us, our harmonys and melodic guitar while still keeping are hard edge of our rock influences.

Band/artist history

Nick Haisch and Justin Tung always had the dream of being in a band. They realized that they could do more than dream when they met in junior high in 00'. Their original band "Denial of Service" with Justin on Drums and Nick on Guitar did not go too well because of conflicts in musical preference, lack of confidence and an inconsistent lineup of musicians. A year later they realized that different styles of music could be used to their advantage, becoming a huge soup bowl of Rock music. Because drummers were so abundant, Justin switched to guitar. The results were apparent with Nick on bass and Stephen Stiner on drums. To increase their capactiy of creativity, Nick went back to guitar, and the band, renamed to Formal Affair, came across bassist Alex Ward. In that time, the band had grown in talent and creativity. They pulled roots from 60s - 80s rock, and the blues, all circulating around punk. For a more solidified backbone, the drummer was exchanged for Karl Helbich and the band was renamed to A Midnight Octave.
