American Accent is a 4 piece Pop-Rock band from Grand Rapids, MI.Band/artist history
American Accent formed in January of 2003. Original bass player, Pat Brown, and Lead-Guitar player, Shane Boon, were in bands together throughout highschool. When they got to college at Cornerstone University in Grand Rapids, MI...they met up with drummer, Will Perrigin, and started a hard-rock band. Meanwhile, former guitarist, Matt Landrum, and lead-singer, Chris Grano, were doing acoustic shows together. These five men abandoned their respective projects to start American Accent. In October of 2004, Pat Brown parted ways with the band, ushering in new bass player, Zach Malin. Recently, American Accent has become a 4-piece band with a touring guitar player.Have you performed in front of an audience?We play live all over the midwest, mostly the Michigan area during non-summer months. We've played live shows with Sister Hazel, Grammy-Winner, Rebecca St. James, Sponge, Lucky Boys Confusion, Casting Crowns, Downhere, and other national artists.
