AMBULANZA was set up in 2000 by Maltese frontman Dr Mario. The band plays its own brand of modern funk called Paramedical Funk i.e. modern funk which is based on traditional funk guitars and rythymns blended with more modern approaches to music tehcno beats, house keyboards, 80's sythns, coarse Prodigy sounding moogs splashed with the odd rockish guitar riff and hip hop/ rap vocals. We tend to start a James Brown sounding track and end up with a raggea refrain or a red hot riff ending with a trance like dance beat.Our own website http://www.ambulanza.net

Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Live gigs and more live gigs we come from Eastern Europe have done pubs and open air gigs in most parts of Poland, Budapest, Germany etc. We love it, it is the best way to administer our therapy. Special moments Polish Viva and MTV end of year programme. Being on the show, meeting other local stars and being interviewed by MTV Polska. Best Thrill The Pepsi Sziget Music Festival in 2002 where we shared the stage with the likes of big names in the business like Placebo, The Wailers, No Doubt and an endless list.

We are looking for gigs, management and anything that will drive the band forward. We are stage experienced and love making music. Anyone out there who can give us a chance to make it will always be in our thoughts.
