All5tarr
First off, I'm not a band, I'm a producer/emcee. I started off rappin, but I eventually drifted into the production side due to the lack of finding good beatmakers. I remember using tape recorders and all types of other stuff, just to make a tight beat. After long time producing, I gradually developed a style people would quickly compare to Kanye West, but trust me itz a flava all my own. Nowadays, I'm finally getting the recognition that I feel that I deserve especially since artists like Twista and Kanye West are blowing it up for the Chi. Lookout for All5tarr, cause the sun rises in the East, sets in the West, but itz at itz highest point in the middle..holla!!
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
1993-Present: On the streets of the Southside of Chicago terrorizing emcees.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
I especially love doing live showz, because most emcees feed off the oohs and ahhs, and I'm not exception. You can mostly catch me on the Southside of Chicago at places like the East of the Dan Ryan Ballroom, Kennedy/King College, University of Chicago, and other club spots. Right now, I'm in North Carolina fulfilling an enlistment contract, so right now I'm limited to production duties. Special moments I had were back in high school battling cats at lunch and making beats on the lunch table, those days I was pretty much untouchable. It was then I hooked up wit my right hand man Skizzy Skitz.
Your musical influences
My influences range from Snoop to Kanye West.
My emcee skills come from Nas, Canibus, Jay-Z, and Eminem. My production skills come from DJ Premier, Trackmasters, DJ Clue, Eminem, Kanye West etc.
What equipment do you use?
I use mostly samplers, drum machines, and music production software.....more and more I started to use keyboards.
Anything else?
I just want people to view what I've seen while I was growing up. My past wasn't all hard and gangster-like....but I did have a struggle...I know what itz like to be broke and I just want people to hear my side of the story.
