Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Alkhemi is a former member of a renowned group called Skwod X. Originally from Dallas TX.
She attended Booker T. Washington Arts Magnet Highschool before exploring new ground in New York City.
Alkhemi has opened for many known artists in the industry, The Roots, Black Star, Keith Murray, KRS1, Mob Deep, Erykah Badu, Lauryn Hill, Outkast, Rahzel and many others.
She has maintained the status of one of the nicest female lyricist to ever rock a mic and is working on her solo project in New York City as we speak.
Keeping her home town at the top of her list she is involved with producers by the name is Massive and Skins, along with an array of signed producers like St. Nick from the So So Def camp, Luke who has worked with the Nappy Roots and Anthony Hamilton, Mac who has worked with the likes of Brandy and Busta Rhymes plus a few more.
Keep you ear to the internet as she storms the industry and stay tuned for the highly anticipated album Ephatomed dedicated to the late Sahhir from the underground group from her hometown with the same name.
