Let's see...an intro to my band...Well, I am the band. Jesus and I that is. I write, compose, produce, perform, record, mix and master it all at this time in my home studio. I have been working on my 1st album for the past 2 1/2 - 3 years and actually did not pick up my 1st instrument until 3 years ago....and from there it has been a wonderful yet trying journey. However it has confirmed even more to me that these gifts and talents I have been given are a gift from our creator - GOD - being that i have never had a lesson in my life (well okay 2 months in band 6th grade - Clarinet - Last chair if that counts) and knowing that has convicted me in my belief that they must be used for his purpose. My songs are currently among the top 10 requested songs on the internet christian indie radio station www.thespiritradio.com and I am currently working with several talented collaborators and producers on various tracks to be included on my 1st album - appropriately titled WITNESS. Join me in worshipping him in a way unlike any you've experienced before....As one of my collaborator's studio owners said when he heard my awesome praise & worship song "Jesus" for the first time "Did Madonna get saved???" funny thing was he was serious ...he had never heard of me before and had no idea who it was he was listening to!!! I do not play live yet...I have before in the secular realm of music...In bars, at parties, etc... But not since starting my own album. I am currently seeking musicians to audition for my band and should be hitting the stages at the earliest in October 2006. Do I like performing???? Do humans breathe??? Yes of course...I love it..but my reasons for loving it before and now have changed quite a bit I think. This time when I hit the stage it won't be for my own benefit but instead to glorify GOD and enlighten others. To bring hope and the message of salvation to people. I think it will be 100 times more rewarding and enjoyable than it's ever been when i start performing publicly again from this perspective & purpose!!! My most special moment so far would have to be the first time I ever performed publically. It was in a highschool friends small (tiny) bar and I had been asked by a band to perform a set of 3 songs in the middle of their show to give their lead singer a break and keep the crowd hyped. We packed 200 people all friends from my former highschool and 2 surrounding cities highschools (we had graduated 3 years prior) in a bar not much larger that the size of 2 living rooms. I was scared to death!! But I'll never forget the sound of them screaming my name when I got done and all during the 2nd half of the bands set while their lead singer was back on stage and I was off. Needless to say I only got to play 2 more shows with them before I was kicked off their bill. Seems the lead singer was upset at the attention I was receiving and offered the band an ultimatum....No biggy though, GOD had other plans for me!
