Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
I've been doing this, since the early nineteen eighties, as a solo performer who sometimes engages the collaboration of other respected players/creators.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
I used to play live, but now, I primarily work in studio productions with others as well as myself.
Your musical influences
Klaus Schultze, Tangerine Dream, Pink Floyd, King Crimson, The Stranglers, Ray Lynch, Emereeson, Lake and Palmer, Genesis (early period), Gentle Giant, Peter Hammil, Van Der Graaf Generator, Popol Vuh, Kraftwerk, Kettle, Subotnik, Hugh Lecaine (inventor of the Electronic Sackbut- 1940'S) AND and a slew of others!
What equipment do you use?
A rack of modules: Yamaha TG55, Ysmshs TX81Z, Kawai K1R, Roland MSIE String Module, Alesis Microverb IV Proplerhead Reason 5/Reocrd 1.3 combo Presonus Studio One V2.o DAW (controlled with a Presonus Faderp;ort) Renoise 2.0 Audio Mulch Soft synths: Absynth 5, EMS Synthi-aA, Gmedia Mton (Mellotron), AAS Lounge Lizard, AAS Tasman 4, AAS String Studio, AAS Ultra Analog (love this one), NI Reaktor, NI Battery 3, FabFilter ONe, Fabfilter Two, and various others collected over the years (Limplug, Rob Papen)
Anything else?
Hmmmmm, did I mention I use a Vitamix. No, not useful in the studio, but great for making wonderful healthy fruit and vegetable smoothies.
