Eclectic and Emotional Pop Music
Band/artist history
Alex Olea was born in La Paz, Bolivia, from Chilean parents - moved to Honduras where he went to school. Studied Engineering at LSU and graduated in 2004. "It all started with a recorder my grandmother gave me for Christmas." That sparkled his interest in piano which he learned how to play by ear. At age 16 he began recording at home using an old Aiwa stereo with a double deck cassette where he used the aux to plug in the keyboard. At 21 he bought his first guitar and taught himself how to play it. In 2003 Alex joined "Palo Viejo" (www.paloviejo.net) as an invited musician and toured the US. Nobody really knows when he officially became a 'paloviejo' he was involved with the band and recorded with them their first CD (Estas Aqui Ahora) in Baton Rouge. In 2005 he decided to take a break from the band due to his career and personal life.
Today, after a 4 year music break, Alex is recording demos that will soon be part of his maxi single to be realeased in Fall of 2009.

I let this song play in my room as I took a shower. I must say that the even though the rhythm in it is a bit repetitious, it allowed me to relax and harmonize with everything around me.... I believe that is what the composer felt when writing this.
