Alan Bridges
Hi, I'm a songwriter/guitarist/general musician, living near Romsey (nr. Southampton) in the UK. I play mostly in my church, and have also played with local bands, Reload and The Missiles in the recent past.
I'm a fairly old git (43 now) and I would say young at heart, but that's probably not true.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
I love playing live. Strangely I never get at all nervous, just excited. The more people the better.
Your musical influences
I love Delirious, Coldplay, Mae, The Automatic, Rush, U2, Quench (oh, and Damien Rice is a genius). All sorts of great rock music, from classic 70's stuff to indie and even some grunge. Guitars is my thing. Strangely the stuff I write and record is frequently quite sedate and "non-guitar orientated" compared to what I play along to other people's music, or what I listen to.
What equipment do you use?
Currently playing Gordon Smith guitars through a Digitech GSP1101 pre-amp, Samson Servo 200 power amp, and a Marshall 1960a 4x12 cab.
Anything else?
May God bless you all and enable you to use the talents He gave you.
