Ahead On Our Way

I have a very dark past... So much... I regret... Drugs, violence, vice, thievery, malice, vengeance, ignorance... A past walked in the shadows... It was calling out to me all along, my conscience... What is this power! I'll use my past as a learning experience... _______________________________________________________________________________________ I started out on Tool, system of a down, and sum 41 finding my niche when I heard Avenged Sevenfold’s city of evil and Bullet for my Valentines the poison when I was 20. At 22, I got into Djent after I heard jet packs was yes by periphery. At first when my friend showed me that song I was like “where is the thrash riffs at!” but found myself listening to it again and thought I found my place a second time through the very creative and rhythmic skills of Misha Mansoor as well as other Djent artists. Now I have gotten myself into producing some of my own music and am striving to fight vice... WITH MY DJENT... HAHA! Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Uhhh... Not really any. I'm actually pretty new to this as I used to listen to gangster rap until I was 19 and finally got into rock from playing guitar hero. Shortly after I picked up the guitar and began my self-taught journey. I just recently at 22 got into a little get together type metal band with a few friends which is getting me into the drums as well.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Im just starting to play live but only in a few places
Your musical influences
TONS! Periphery, Avenged Sevenfold, All That Remains, Bullet For My Valentine, Bulb, Chimp Spanner, Trivium, Kotaro Oshio, Anterior, Oh Sleeper, Pantera, Blood Stain Child, Nobuo Uematsu, Animals As Leaders, Born Of Osiris, Veil Of Maya, Unearth, Job For A Cowboy, Soilwork, Meshuggah, Circle Of Contempt, Deadmau5, Daft Punk, Bleeding Skies, All Shall Perish, Scale The Summit, Volumes, I The Breather, Betraying The Martyrs, The Air I Breathe, August Burns Red Basically anything related to Metalcore (try to stay away from the weird emo stuff though), Djent, Thrash, Death Metal, Progressive, Experimental. My other influences outside of metal are mainly Punk, Classical, Spanish Guitar, Jazz, and Trance. I have a lot of influences and am always looking for new one's. Im really into almost anything synyster gates touches as well as whatever misha mansoor touches. As far as vocals, bullet for my valentine is a HUGE influence plus there riffs are badass.
What equipment do you use?
Fender stratocaster, stock pickups, RP155, mixcraft 4/cubase 5 with a few plugins. I want to get a 7 string ibanez rg7321, dimarzio john petrucci pickup set, cubase 6, line6 uber metal, and a sonic stomp, but dont know when it will happen... Im not working with much although it does get the job done. In the past I did not have much support at all and still kind of don't but I am starting to find some.
Anything else?
