Agoozle is composed of Dave Hand, who is a Biochemist professionally and a musician on the side. He likes smiling and disco. He plays guitar and bass, programs drums and organs, and produces his music without any professional training, experience, tutoring, or divine intervention. He may be somewhat of an egomaniac. Richard Nixon had nothing to do with this.
Band/artist history
There was once a band named 'Kramer' that included myself, my cousin (Brandon Bauder), Josh Hileman, and Jimmy Bacon. We played some heavier rock stuff, did a bunch of Podunk shows, and independently released two albums which did not sell well. That's how I learned to play guitar. The experience of recording made something go off in my head, like "hey, I can do that." So I got some software (FruityLoops and Cool Edit Pro) and messed around. I'm still messing around. Since Kramer disbanded, I've collaborated (briefly) with Michael Brown in writing writing a few songs and Jacob Watta in recording some random (but awesome!) stuff.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
I do not play live because I have only 4 appendages, half of which aren't usefull for playing instruments.
Your musical influences
It's hard to say what makes it into my music the most, but I love Muse, 311, Phish, The Strokes, KC & The Sunshine Band, Franz Ferdinand, Weezer, and The Red Hot Chili Peppers. For the most diverse mix, listen to 'Secret of the Cove'.
What equipment do you use?
I play one beat-ass Kramer guitar, a Fender Strat, and a Fender Squire P-Bass. I use Fruity Loops 3.4 for drums and organs. I record and produce using Cool Edit Pro 3.1.
Anything else?
If there's an interested and talented vocalist out there, e should drop me a line. Also, I need cymbal clips.
