Agony Way
At the end of 2006 the band Hocksaw decided to split up after a couple of years due to the different musical tastes. The guitarist Fabry joined the gothic rock band Tearsfall while the other three members started from the scratch a new project called Agony Way (composed by Diego on vocals, Poli on bass/backing vocals and Andrea aka Mario Rossi on drums) writing songs since the first day of rehearsals. Even without a guitarist, in May 2007 they booked some days at Sub Mix Pro Studio with the aim of recording their five best songs for an EP called "Warning Agony Way" (the guitars were recorded by Poli). Just a week after the realisation of the cd they found the fourth member Umberto as guitar player, who gave the band a stronger punk rock style.
After a year the band was ready to record his debut album called "For Rent" but the guitarist left the band and so Mauri replaced him.
The record is coming out on January 2009.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
3 friends (Diego, Poli and his brother Andrea) wanted to create a rock band so they started playing and writing some songs. Then after some months they recorded the five-song EP called "Warning Agony Way" and the guitarist Mauri joined the band.
AGONY WAY started playing their first shows in Turin, now they tried to move from that city and to play wherever and whenever they can.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
We LOVE playing live, we play wherever we can, a lot in our city (Turin) because it's easy to find dates here and we don't have to move... But we also love to travel and to play in different places in front of new people...
