Acoustica Blue
Acoustica Blue
Well it isn't much of a band. I'm Jeff Weisberger and I have been writing music seriously for about a year and a half but I have some songs that branch back several years. I'm a 23 year old Public Relations Specialist and I really just enjoy doing this on the side. I'm not trying to become a professional musician or anything. I just love to write music. Keep in mind that everything you are hearing was recorded in a small room which contained only a computer, sound system, microphone, and keyboard. I am doing all vocal parts, rhythm guitar, some lead guitar, and a little keyboard. Some of the folks that helped me in this effort were Pandel Collaros, a very talented musician who currently teaches applied guitar and some music classes at Bethany College. Pandel plays a lot of the lead guitar you hear, some of the keyboard, and even a little bit of percussion. I also had the help of a friend, Sean Geary who helped with some keyboard parts. This is far from professional recording. It was the best I could work with. I hope you find something you enjoy.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Like I said, I have written all the music so there's not much history. I have been playing guitar for a few years and writing ever since I could play a few chords.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
I played with a band for about a year. It was cool we did a few shows in Bethany and one at a Jazz Festival in Coshocton, OH. I'm actually pretty shy so I don't go to open mic nights or anything like that.
Your musical influences
Well, since the start of this genre I call acoustic rock, I've formed a great deal of respect for the artists involved. It's not easy to be just a singer songwriter with coffee house style to break into the music industry. My biggest influences are Matt Nathanson, Howie Day, Jason Mraz, Dave Matthews Band, Patrick Park, and More than anything my father who bought me my first guitar and is a musician himself so I grew up listening to great rock music at a very young age. I can just remember walking around the house when I was like 5 years old singing light my fire by the doors.
