Featuring the talents of Billy Rankin (ex Nazareth, Alex Harvey Band), Kenny Cobain, John O'Leary (ex Gunslingers, Ritual) Mortice was born after a few beers and a desire to do things our way. Combining a mixture of styles from heavy metal to southern rock, influences were not difficult to come by considering the members of the band. Acoustic guitar-based poppy folkish tunefulness. Jacob and Julia consists of Jacob and Julia. This is purely coincidence as the first incarnation of Jacob and Julia was comprised of five guys named Lou. Jacob plays guitar and a little kazoo. Julia plays a lot of kazoo. Their sound is a raw, inappropriately angry take on the whole Sonny & Cher/Steve & Eydie vibe.

I am a traveling, solo musician (12-string acoustic guitar and vocal). My repertoire consists mostly of music from the 1960's & 1970's era. I've toured Scandinavia / Europe many times, released two CD's. Both feature a full band and have a 'seasonal' theme ('Autumn' and 'Summer').

The sound is somewhat simular to Oasis a little bit, but has a John Cougar-Mellancamp and B Jeff Lamothe is a singer/songwriter from Moosonee, Ontario, which is in the Northern Ontario region at the south tip of James Bay. He's is primarily a lead guitar player, but also excels in other instruments as well as the guitar, such as the drums, bass, harmonica, piano, and other percussional and wind instruments.
