The Norwegain band ACELSIA, may be considered as melodic hard rock. Sometimes quiet and mellow, sometimes heavy and noisy - the band is recognised by soothing melodies, melancholy moods and Malene's emotional voice.Band/artist history
The group started out with the two current members, Malene Markussen(vocal) and Nils Engeness(bass) with two other friends as "View" in the summer of 2006. They helped Malene in studio recording some songs she had created with her guitar.
After they had recorded a selection of songs, Malene thought her songs got better with a band who could help her developing her songs, and so Malene and Nils decided to look for a permanent live band. They soon found Håkon Hellerud(drums) through a friend, and he became a member.
Some time later Marius Pedersen (guitar) came in for an audition and also became a member of the band. Malene and Nils had a group line up by the fall of 2006.
By the Beginning of 2007 they changed their group name to "Acelsia", recorded a new demo and started sending out their music trying to be heard.
After some time changing in and out guitarists number two, Odd Henning Skyllingstad (guitar) Joined the group as a permanent member.Have you performed in front of an audience?We play live as much as possible. It is very important to increase your fan base and to show off for the possible important people in the audience.
