AC147
We are a Blues and Hard Rock band from Hamden, CT.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Guitarist TJ Fitzpatrick sought out a Blues/Rock group at the beginning of the second semester at Quinnipiac University after jamming with Drummer Steve Lipschutz throughout the last half of 2006. After several separate jams with Guitarist Chris DiBerardino and Bassist / Piano Player Richie Travers, the quartet came together in early February 2007. Together, they bring backgrounds of Delta Blues, Jazz, and even so far as Heavy Metal to the table to form a hard driving Blues/Rock sound that won the group 3rd place at WQAQ's Battle of the Bands on February 24th. Since the Battle the group has expanded, deciding to restructure its talent to allow everyone to reach their best abilities. Quinnipiac Freshman and Myopia Guitarist Charles "Woody" Woodruff has taken up Bass for AC147, allowing Richie to permanently move to his strong suit of Piano. Also joining the group to take over as Drummer, Justin Schussler, who brings a great deal of experience to the table to drive the band even further than before. The group has continued to receive acclaim for reviving a sound that has been all but lost over the years and will likely be on the rise once again in the coming months.
