A b s t r a c t /Animation is a new South Florida based jazz-fusion quartet. Improvisational, experimental, electronic, world drumming from ambient to hip-hop to explosive, we jam an Avant Guard mix of rock and jazz. Its a cool groove and then it rocks. .
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
we are adults in our 40's, so we have a LOT of collective band experience and history. We were all famous for 15 minutes at some point.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Yes, we perform in South Florida. As an improv band we feed off the energy an audience brings amazing things to our performances.
Your musical influences
jazz such as Chic Corea RTF Weather Report Art Ensemble of Chicago. prog rock such as Crimson, Yes, ELP, Rush, Kansas. Mostly retro sounding stuff.
What equipment do you use?
Roland JX -305 & JP-8000, Kawaii MP-9000, Korg T1 & 707, guitar, bass, and 100 percussion instruments.
