absinthmonkey is a way to express the frustrations, anxiety, and sometimes even the happiness in a strange, creative way....it was also a good project for me to start because i was frustrated at the time with working with other humans and so this was a fresh start and a way to expand some of my experimental horizens without some little bitch telling me it was too noisey or some bullshit like that....listen close you may even hear my cat on one of the tracks....

i like absinthe....and monkeys....
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
i've done cameos on stage, but never a live absinthmonkey set...it's hard because a lot of it is computer-generated and i hate the idea of being yet another minneapolis lap-top artist....nobody likes to watch that boring shit...the guy could be looking at porn or checking his e-mail for all the audience knows....i need to find a way to implement an interesting, intense live performance before you will ever see an absinthmonkey show.
Your musical influences
for this project, i drew a lot of influence from aphex twin, autecre, square-pusher, nine inch nails and even a bit of classical compositions.
What equipment do you use?
i use FLstudio4, crusher, a tascam portastudio, fender strat, dean 12 string bass, absinthe, marijuana, nicotine, and black label....
