The focus of the band deals mainly with the end of humanity with few survivors. Zsthoth has professed disgust towards the human race. Despite being human himself, he ackowledges showing traits of human nature. However he also knows his limits and his music is written as a way to combat humanities status quo that may impede his life course. Abandonment is music for those that survive the impending demise of humanity. Humanity is destined to fail, and its not a question of if, but a question of when.
