Aaron Davis
Aaron Davis, isn't actually a band. I'm a professional guitarist for hire. I focus on performing music for multiple clients for live situations, studio sessions and musical collaboration. I’m educated in Jazz, able to read charts and improvise proficiently. BUT, I’m mainly a pop/rock guitarist.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Often. I play jazz at weddings, formal dinners and other occassions. I'm in the staff band at Church on the Move, Tulsa OK. Which is one of the most respected ministries in the world. I quit playing in "club" bands a few years ago to focus on more laid back musical situations. One of my favorite "special moments"... opening up for one of my biggest influences, Eric Johnson.
Your musical influences
I'm into a wide range of music, all branching out from pop/rock guitar. I'd say I listen to a lot of female vocalists. They usually seem to have more intuitive compositions. Such as, Tori Amos, Norah Jones, Chantal Kreviazuk. Really dig Jazz guitarists Bill Frisell and Pat Methany. I really dig the Foo Fighters too, if I need a good tune to crank in my car, I look no further.
