On a faithful night in March of 2004, Brad Jones and Rob Lanvers decided to form a rap duo named A4. They didn't know why the picked the name A4, but it is a hot name. They would rap under the names of BJLethal and RobLeezy. They recorded there first song ever entitled "JVeeney" about a friend of theres who was kicked out of school for a couple of days for trying to take down the schools computer system. Later in April, the group had a new member join the fray.. His name was Derek Hunley. He rapped under the rap name of D-Rek. He wrote his first verse, but never recorded it, and has since severed his ties with the group. In the same month the group added the best DJ to ever come out of Algonac, Frank Ulicny. This cat has mad skills with the turn tables, plus other instrments. He goes by the name of DJ Frank the Tank. He will definitely help in making beats for the future. After Derek severed his ties with the band, the group decided to replace him with JVeeney.. But, JVeeney isn't too much into rap or the process of putting together songs, so he isn't really in the group.. But, we will always be cool with JVeeney. This also opens the possiblity for D-Rek to rejoin the group if he feels like it, but I feel he will at least be on our album. Now the group is complete, and they are currently working on a whole bunch of music. They have a lot of beats picked out, and they have written a lot of lyrics that will make the CD. Recent songs that have been relesed are Psycho Surprise, JVeeney (Remix), I Believe (BJLethal Solo), and Feelin' Good. We have also released to freestyles. The first was BJLethal and DJ Frank the Tank both dissing Leezy. The second one was a battle between Lethal and DJ Frank the Tank. We are currently getting ready to record Our Party. We've been tryin' to get a beat together for this one for a while. We are also thinking up new song ideas. And, just recently, D-Rek has once again rejoined the group.Have you performed in front of an audience?We haven't played any live shows at the moment, but we will soon.
Your musical influences
BJLethal is influenced by Tech N9ne, Nelly, and Eminem. RobLeezy is influenced by Tech N9ne, Eminem, and various other rappers. D-Rek is influenced by Bizarre, Twiztid, and many other rappers. DJ Frank The Tank is influenced by Teh Beastie Boys with his mega fresh DJing, and Jay-Z and other lyrically great rappers with his rapping. We are a complete rap group that consists of the hardest members ever BJ Lethal, RobLeezy, DJ Frank the Tank, and D-Rek.What equipment do you use?
We use Cool Edit Pro 2.0 and Fruity Loops.
Frank has a set of turntables and a mixer.. The Turtables are Technics SL-1200M3Ds. He also has a Stanton mixer. He also has some Stanton Turntables that he doesn't use anymore.mindlessselfindulger's station
