The Michael Erik Band.....hmmmm.....I guess it comes from a place that's hard to define. It's a guitar, a drum, a synthesizer, and a lot of guesswork. I can't really say if any of it is good. But I want to throw it out to everyone....and I do mean everyone. I want to hear the attaboys AND the critics. To tell the truth, I'd like to hear more from the latter. I want to hear what you think I can and can't do. You're the listener. I'm just a legend in my own mind.Have you performed in front of an audience?I love doing open mic nights. It's that willingness threshold that's hard to overcome. Once I get over it, I generally have a good time, regardless of what the audience thinks. But I haven't performed in awhile. If I get back to it, you'll be the first to know.
What equipment do you use?
I use Cakewalk software, Cubase, Fruity Loops, and a real cool VST synth called Atmosphere made by Spectrasonics. I play an Ovation acoustic-electric (which I've had since I was 13) and a Gibson SG which I love. I play through a Pro Line 6 and a Marshall Amplifier. I have loads of effects. My favorite is the Korg Toneworks Pandora's Box that my brother got me one year for Christmas.....(Thanks, Ron).Anything else?
I wish Soundclick would allow us to link up to our favorite sites. For instance, I've just plugged all my favorite effects, software synths and whatnot, and I feel kind of bad not being able to let my listeners in on these companies that have at least in part made it possible for me to present my music on this site. All comments (1)

Very nice! this is just a suggestion(consider it, don't, whatever): if you ever get the chance to, you should redo the songs you did with fruity loops on actual synths. especially temptation. but then again thats just a personal preference of mine.
