Progressive Rock

Our debut EP Centre Yourself is now available on iTunes, Spotify and other online outlets. Yalla Yalla is a progressive rock act hailing from Perth, Western Australia. Brothers Dave & Tim Watkins (vocals/guitars & drums respectively) established the band in 2014 with long-time friend and musical collaborator Ben Harvey (Guitars). These three members have so far enjoyed a history of working in other projects such as World-A-Fuzzy and Something Humble. This four-piece is now complete after the addition of their newest member Alex Capes (Bass). Currently active and performing live in the Perth original music scene, Yalla Yalla can sonically be described as a melodic wall-of-sound filled with technical syncopated beats, lush guitars and inspiring vocals. Drawing influence from artists such as The Mars Volta and Radiohead, Yalla Yalla consciously aims to ensure their sound is fresh and distinguishable within the prog-rock genre. In October 2015 Yalla Yalla launched their debut EP Centre Yourself at 459 Bar in North Perth. The band looks forward to touring the EP, aiming to impress as an emerging live show in the Australian alternative music circuit. Yalla Yalla is currently seeking opportunities to perform as a support act for heavyweight artists of the industry.
