Our president's is officially BLACK, and while the massive residents are still being strategically forced out of Atlanta's urban ZONE 1 community, Wix was thinking of a master plan traveling a mile above the earth by way of airtran as an artist that never stops. Headed from Jacksonville to Atlanta just to perform an open mic show at Secrets later on in the evening of January 9, 2009, he knew his vacation was over. Coming up spending time between an unkown up and comingfemale models spot in Riverdale GA, and his Aunt's on the westside of Atlanta where he's resided since his release from F.D.O.C. back in March 2008. The taste of success isn't coming easy for the 26 year old resident of Bankhead who was raised up in the Atlant community when it was truly a trappers paradise. Therefore, when he decided to make music his hustle in '05 independently releasing a mix of demos that contained the track "3 Shots". He was in prison when he penned the track that could change his life! "Creep %&@$!", the vicious vendetta anthem set over an energetic track can go on to put him on the map regionally before eventually gaining national attention. The parched pavements of Atlanta's westside are where he Andre "Wix" Martin grew up a screw up. Father absent and mother on drugs... he frequently moved from spot to spot, often crashing on friends couches and sleeping on trap house floors. Now, to set the standards straight... he was born in N.C. and raised in the ATL, Westside; Hollywood Rd/Bankhead Highway (now Donnald Lee Holowell) area, temporarily lived in Tifton GA for a brief moment where his brother currently resides. He's also lived in Jacksonville FL (from '00-summer '05 and winter of '06) where he dissappeared from the scene to do a bid in Florida's (Crooked) Department of Corrections. They are all the same to me... for now. I haven't reached the "Celebrity" status yet.
