Mike Beats Live is a producer/artist from the city of Hartford, CT. His love of music developed during choir rehearsals he attended as a child. At the age of 15 he began using free music production software to make beats for himself and his friends to rap over. By the time he reached college, his sound had not developed but his classmates gave him stage his name, "Mike Beats". It was a few years later in 2012 when "Live" was added to his name. He has worked with various artist during his career as well as release his own songs written and produced by himself. His style is East Coast with a lot of Southern trap influence.

Have you performed in front of an audience?
I play live. So far I've played live in various venues in my home state of CT as well as NYC. Playing live is awesome because of the interaction of the audience. To myself every stage I play is a special moment. You never know who's watching.
Your musical influences
Gospel, Hip hop, R&B, Blues, Reggae, Classical. I love old school music like Gladys Knight, Gap Band, Stevie Wonder....too many to name. My Hip-Hop influences are T.I., Jay-Z, Pharrell Williams, Kanye West, 50 Cent, Wiz Khalifa, & the list goes on.
