Wil Power

This band is an energetic ensemble fronted by seasoned guitarist Wil Richardson. Wilbert has performed all over the United States as well as Internationally. Wil was born and grew up in middle Louisiana where he attended Southern University. It was here that he developed the love and appreciation for true musicianship. Having performed in bands that constantly crossed paths and gained the respect of fellow musicians like Randy Jackson (American Idol), Patches Stewart, Charlie Singleton (Cameo),Wynton and Bradford Marcellas, and being exposed to the genous of Alvin (Doc) Batiste: Wil had no choice but to make sure he was always on his game musically. He is one of the founders of the MCA records recording group LA. Connection; a funk and R&B band produced by Larry Blackmon of Cameo. Wilbert has extensive live performance and studio recording cridentials. Early in his career he worked as lead guitarist for chart topping soul singer Joe Simmon. He was the guitarist for Polydor recording artists Alton Mcclain and Destiny who were one of Teddy Pendergrass' opening acts during his grammy years. Wilbert has performed as guitarist on many concerts over his long career as a professional guitarist. Some of his studio recording credits include: guitarist on the band 7th Wonder's Polydor release, guitarist on La connection's "Now Apperaring" MCA records release, guitarist on the movie sound track to Tyler Perry's "Daddy's Little girl". Wilbert has shared the stage with some of the greatest artist of our time such as Marvin Gaye, Smokie Robinson, Chic, Cameo, The Gap Band, The Barcays, The O'Jays, Roy Ayers, Frankie Beverly & Maze, Rick James, Con Funk Shun, The Daze Band, SOS Band, Atlantic Star, Lake Side, Kool & The Gang, Sister Sledge, The Manhattans and others.
