Who The Fuck Is Krs? That is a good question. KRS is a hip-hop producer from Southern California. He makes hip-hop beats and specializes in making trap beats with an Atlanta/Southern trap style. He goes by "Who The Fuck Is Krs" because a rapper named Dc2Trill, who was the first artist KRS seriously started working with, would say "Who The Fuck Made That Beat" at the beginning of every song. Eventually it became his slogan or catch phrase, and now you can hear many different artists repeat the phrase over his beats.
KRS's first big record was the song "Passaround" by Dc2Trill [engineered by Qtastic] done in early 2014. At that time KRS was learning how to become an audio engineer, studying audio engineering with ProTools at California Sound Studios.
He continued to produce beats throughout the years mastering his craft and working with different artists, although many of the songs that were created were never released. So many songs were made that many people in the (Orange County) area know the songs without them ever being released officially.
KRS released his debut record "20 Minutes" featuring Noaidea, Chrizzy P, Tonee 420, and Yxng IV on January 1st 2019. This was KRS's first album he has full produced since Dc2trill's "Drought Season" record that was released in 2015 (besides the mixtape King of the Trill).
KRS then released his personal project "Gettin' Money" on January 27th 2019 where he showcased his own beats and his own rapping/singing style with autotune. He plans on coming out with more compilation albums featuring his beats, as well as possibly producing another album as an artist.
In the second half of 2019 KRS started to put his beats online on YouTube, SoundCloud, SoundClick, and a number of other distribution platforms. This is the first time he has ever done this. He plans to continue to put out music online and continue to work with artists, perform shows while DJing, and possibly set up a West Coast Tour in the USA.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
KRS has performed in many different venues over the years.
The most notable performance was at The Observatory in Costa Mesa California where KRS, Virgo Bandz, A1Fly, and Ham$ta aka Hamwop opened up for Lil Pump and Smokepurpp in April 2017.
KRS continued his performances with Noaidea, who performed there "20 Minutes" record at several different venues in Long Beach, Santa Ana, and Riverside in California.
KRS continues to play shows in Santa Ana, CA, quite frequently at the Proof Bar where he DJ's and hosts events. He also has performed at the Downtown Santa Ana Art walk several times with his artist Noaidea.
