As a group, Vick Frida believes strongly that there are no boundaries in musical terms. Music is a complete freedom. Probably we would be classed as a POP band however we believe that we are also VISUAL. We work together to bring our unique musical sound to those who can appreciate the mixture of emotion, lyrical intensity and musical diversity to our work. Vick Frida was formed in 2000 by Enrico, Marco and Andrea. In 2001 they recorded and released their first single, STRANGEST KIND OF LOVE, (Sony), under the name De-Vice, which was a mixture of house and pop. This proved very successful across a wide European audience where it obtained prolonged radio airplay ans was chosen for compilation ablums alongside the likes of David Craig and Jamiroquai.
In 2006 'Ti Racconto' marked the bands transition into Italian songs and proved popular with its audience gaining extensive airplay and success in Italy.
May 2008 saw the launch of the group's debut album CINE_POP (Universal) via Platinum Studios producer Diego Calvetti, which is currently achieving notable results throughout Italy.
Now Vick Frida is looking to expand its horizons onto the broader international market. Powerful, emotional, musical work from Italy that speaks to an international arena.Have you performed in front of an audience?Yes - everywhere we are asked :) Mostly in Italy at the moment - Milan, Firenze (Florence), Pisa and Rome and at live music festivals all over Italy. We wouldn't be here if we didn't like playing live - its where you get to connect to the audience and where they can connect to us.
Your musical influences
We are extremely focussed on sounding original...there are greats that inspire us including the likes of Enio Morricone,What equipment do you use?
Well we would like to say our talent here,...but we use everything we need to be as clear and focussed in our work as possible. We are broad so this could combine words with instruments to include everything the song needs, such as sounds like stones falling on the road, to everyday aspects of wheels in motion and necessary harmony to fit the song.Anything else?
