Band/artist history
My history with music has been deeply rooted since childhood. My mother played the piano, and my older brother and I began our musical journey at the age of 3 with music discovery classes, then progressing to piano for ten years. Later, I shifted my focus to guitar and drums because I was drawn to their bouncy and upbeat sounds. What I loved most was how playing these instruments allowed me to release pent-up energy; it was a way for me to channel any anger or frustration into something constructive. Eventually, I started creating music using small, free software programs, and I absolutely fell in love with it.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
Yes, I have performed live in front of audiences, especially during end-of-year concerts at music schools in the cities where I lived. It was always a mix of excitement and nerves for me. I remember greeting everyone, performing my piece, and then quickly retreating backstage a bit like a sprint! Looking back, those moments were both exhilarating and challenging. Now, I have more confidence in myself, but my true passion lies in being behind the camera and creating my own sounds.
Your musical influences
My influences are quite eclectic and deeply rooted in various genres. I grew up immersed in classical baroque music, which has significantly shaped my musical sensibilities. You'll notice this influence in how I incorporate baroque elements into my hip hop tracks, adding a unique twist to the genre.
Beyond classical music, I have a strong affinity for reggae, finding its rhythms and laid-back vibes captivating. Rock music also holds a special place in my heart, with bands like Iron Maiden, Van Halen, Joan Jett, and Led Zeppelin among my favorites. Their energy, guitar riffs, and iconic sounds have left an indelible mark on my musical style.
Overall, my inspirations are diverse and plentiful, drawing from classical compositions to the rebellious spirit of rock and the groove of reggae. These influences come together to shape the music I create, blending different elements to form a sound that's uniquely mine.
