UltraOZU will be returning to Japan in November 2017 to play at favorite spots around Shibuya & Roppongi.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
UltraOZU was originally the lyricist & vocalist for 'Effin Scrubs' & 'REAL Scalywags'. Originally solo as Marquis Oz, he became 'OZU' in 2005. This evolved into 'Ozu-San' & 'Ozu5656' since his first Japanese tenure in 2008. In 2016, he returned to the stage as 'UltraOZU' & commanded the Parkway theater in July 2016, with a one-man, 2-hour performance of music as 'UltraOZU' & comedy-storytelling about his Prince stories & adventures in Japan. 2017 saw the debut of 'UltraOZU' in Tokyo. He is in America for the summer & will return to Japan in November 2017.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
My favorite spots in Tokyo to play at are 'Pink Cow' in Roppongi & 'Ruby Room' in Shibuya, Tokyo. Can't wait to get back & play on stage with my Tokyo friends.
