Cave Song Cave Song
I wrote this song a couple of months ago. I gave myself the challenge of completing a song in 2 hours, so the production is super simple. Instead it's all about the melody. Would be cool to make a folk version of it sometime with real instruments.
Deranged Deranged
Another song challenge for Reason users. This time I've only used Hydronexious Workstation ROM for all synth sounds. The song is pretty crazy and weird.
Red Rock Thump Red Rock Thump
Another song challenge at the Reasontalk forum. For this song I only used the synth Red70. Everything except the drums is that synth.
Herbert The Moose Performing His First Brain Tr... Herbert The Moose Performing His First Brain Tr...
"Herbert The Moose Performing His First Brain Transplant". That's the full song title. Me and my friend Jens Haglof made this weird little tune in 2009. Make sure you listen to the song in its entirety for the full effect :)
Drifting Away Drifting Away
Not the typical track I make. I was tweaking the Snakebite synth for Reason and played around with different effects and stuff and this is what happened.
The Glowing Mountain The Glowing Mountain
I just joined the forum "Reasontalk". Apparently there's these song challenges where you can win synths and stuff for Reason. The whole point is to use just one synth for a song, so that's what I've done here, I've only used the Zero Hybrid Synth.
Coconut Island Coconut Island
This is a mini song, from a mini album, filled with other mini songs. All of my chiptunes are basically like this. Very short and gets straight to the point.
Giant Giant
This track started with the big drums, so everything is based around that. It's kind of different from anything I've done or heard before and I like that.
Underground Underground
This song is not so much about songwriting or melodies. It's about the vibe and the atmosphere from the sounds rather than the actual note choices.
Floating Floating
Antidote Antidote
Recently bought the synth Antidote. Except for the drum samples that's all I'm using in this song. The bass drum is Antidote though. More info under "about the song".
Race to Space Race to Space
Some sort of drum n bass inspired thingy. One thing I've learned, never underestimate noise filter sweeps as a transition tool between different parts. It always works. That's pretty much all this song is :)
Dans Kring Midsommarstang Dans Kring Midsommarstang
Just a joke really. A friend of mine was humming some death metal riff from a song and I misheard it completely. The melody is based on my misinterpretation of his humming. The death metal influence is obvious isn't it?
Retardando Retardando
Nothing too serious. Just messing around with distortion, lo fi effects, ring modulation and other weird stuff. It's more about sound manipulation than actual songwriting.
Round & Round Round & Round
I recently bought a new synth for chip sounds (Chip64 Synth) and decided to try it out in a song. It's not all chip sounds but there's lots of them.
Fat Toad Incoming Fat Toad Incoming
This is me trying out a couple of new synths I just bought: Snakebite and Chip64 Synth. The only rules I set for myself was: have fun, play around and see where it takes you. I put this together in about 5-6 hours which is unusually quick for me.
The Wanderer The Wanderer
One of many chiptunes I've written. The whole point for me with these is to write short catchy little tunes that could fit in a video game.
Hope Hope
I wrote this mostly as an exercise to improve my mixing/production skills and to try out different techniques and ideas I've heard from a lot of electronic music. Not the style I usually make, but why not. More info under "about the song".
