Trip-Lo
Trip-Lo is a 3-piece group formed from "The Faction" teaming up with another friend. The 3 members: ADiC, DK and DaMize are unlike any other group in hip-hop. The members of the group each come from very different backgrounds and are far from typical. As members of The Faction, DK and ADiC put out a full length album "Ambition" and are seasoned vets of the rap game. DaMize is newer to the trade, but a quick learner, and someone that more than holds his own against his more experienced counterparts.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
DK and ADiC have been making music since early 2008, and started making songs with Envius Musik in October of 2008. Since then we've been working on our debut album "Ambition". When we realized that the album was taking a longer time to put out than we had hoped, we decided to talk to our close friend DaMize about joining us and possibly making music. Trip-Lo was born, and we have been on a crazy pace with making our songs ever since.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
We perform live anytime we can. So far we've done 1 show in Campbell, 1 in San Jose and 2 in Santa Clara. We've performed at Club Avalon twice, those have been our favorite shows.
Your musical influences
Anyone lyrical, and anyone with crazy beats. Eminem, D12, Teazem Beatz, Drake, Lil Wayne, E-40, Federation, Royce Da 5'9", Tech N9ne.
What equipment do you use?
We either record at the Envius Musik studio in San Jose or record at DK's house which has a simple set up. Lookin' to expand, lots of new stuff comin soon.
