Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
The Top Notch Galexy began in Milwaukee, WI in 2004 as Top Notch Productions. Started by two teenage hip-hoppers, Jeremy L. Wingo A.K.A. Top Notch J-Wingo and Kendrick T. Handy A.K.A. K-Dealin Ya. Top Notch productions was created to provide a different yet smoother sound to the hop hop and rap culture. With lyric heavy verses and old school influenced bass strong beats. Some say theyve created a clash between Outkast and Run DMC. Their main objective is to be heard and exposed but more importantly, to get hip hoppers back in love with music. Early 2009, Top Notch Productions changed the label to Top Notch Galexy Entertainment, (purposely spelling galaxy wrong to symbolize difference). Their new prime objective is to become the addiction and high of hip hop. Being a stress reliever to the hip hop listeners everywhere. Giving every gender, age, race, nationality, sexuality, etc. an invitation to be a member of the fly species.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
We play live whenever possible. Generally around the southeast Wisconsin are......Live On North, Timbuktu's,Brooklyns in Milwaukee,WI. Bobby Rockets in Burlington,WI.....Park 6 in Racine,WI.
Your musical influences
Influenced by only the greatest sounds planet earth has ever created to mans ear.....#Hip Hop!!! Slick Rick,Beastie Boys, RUNDMC, Nas, Jay Z, Lil Wayne,Whiz Khalifa,Kayne West,Drake, De La Soul, Tribe called Qwest, Digable Planets.....I COULD GO FOREVER!!!LOL We simply love music!!!
