Writing and music are my first loves. I started writing when I was three years old. I started with poetry and short stories, and I got the "music fever" later on. I wrote and recorded my first song when I was 14. I've been heavily into music ever since.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
I started by listening to all sorts of music. I LOVE just about everything out there: rock, pop, rap, hip-hop, soul, RnB, metal, fusion, screamo, punk, funk, etc. Whatever. One day, I decided to make a song out of one of the poems I wrote. I put it together and then recorded it in a professional studio. The rest is history.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Yes, I performed in some high-school talent shows, and then I performed in a few small venues when I got older. It was scary as crap. I remember going to New York and bombing because I had stage fright, lol. I loved the experience, though. It's nice when you perform and then people remember what you did days/months later. It's nice.
Your musical influences
It would take forever to write down every artist who has ever influenced me. Like I said, I like it ALL. So I've been influenced by 2Pac, Queen Latifah, Linkin Park, Van Halen, Sade, Anita Baker, Phyllis Hyman, and various artists of all genres and generations.
What equipment do you use?
Not very good equipment. I hope that I can own my own studio one day and afford the kind of equipment I need to make my stuff better.
