Thomas Taylor was born to Dewey and Cindy Taylor and raised in southern West Virginia in 1990, his hometown is White Sulphur Springs, a small town in south east West Virginia. Thomas’s Grandfather Kyle Taylor introduced traditional music to Thomas at a very young age, such as The Original Carter Family, as well as various other artists. His Grandfather played the Guitar, and the Autoharp. With his grandfather’s passing in 1996, Thomas didn’t get to learn to play from him. In the spring of 2002 Thomas and his family moved to another location in town, where he was introduced to Fred bolt whom had played music with his grandfather. Fred started Thomas on the mandolin, after that Thomas took off with the guitar, banjo, autoharp, bass, dobro, lap steel, and piano. He has a passion for traditional country music, artists such as Johnny Cash, Johnny Horton, Merle Haggard, and Hank Williams were his biggest inspirations. Thomas is married to Candice Taylor the two will celebrate their 8th wedding anniversary in July 2017, he has two brothers Scotty of Union WV, and Dewey of Lewisburg WV.

In early 2017 Thomas had the idea of forming his own band, after consulting with Merlin Durham owner of Merlin RMD LLC RECORD LABEL, and other musicians the band Ka$hed Out was formed.
