This is an instrumental track in the style of Pat Metheny. All instruments are the Roland VG-99, Bass, Rhythm guitar (acoustic plus layered string synth) and nylon string guitar
Interlude Interlude
This is improvisation using the Roland VG-99 processor. The hybrid trumpet/saxophone sound is a guitar using only the VG-99 played over a backing track using Band in a Box software.
This will be the site for my song demos. For the time being all parts will be played and composed by me, but hopefully at some point other musicians will collaborate on this project.Band/artist history
Have played in collaboration with some excellent artists, particularly in the '80s, when I was involved in several Jazz workshops in London and appeared with Courtney Pine and friends in local Jazz Festivals. However I have never done a great deal of live gigging.
More recently I was gigging with a Jazz Fusion band in Bolivia called EM2.Have you performed in front of an audience?I enjoy playing live when the opportunity arises, but I am more concerned with composition presently and focusing on improving my technique and musicianship in general.
Your musical influences
I have a great deal of different influences, but mainly for the time being I would like to mention Pat Metheny, Scott Henderson, Allan Holdsworth, Chick Corea Elektric Band, Zawinul Syndicate, John McLaughlin, Larry Carlton, John Abercrombie and Ralph Towner among others. But I am not trying to sound like any of them, I am just acknowledging them as influences on my sound and musical direction.What equipment do you use?
Roland VG-99, VG-8EX, GK equipped custom Strat, Fender Fat Telecaster, Custom Made double neck acoustic harp guitar with a 7 string guitar neck and 7 string baritone neck and super-treble strings, made by Brunner Guitars of Switzerland. GK-equipped Samick 335. Hohner Professional Steinberger G3T. Carvin Vintage 16 combo. Crate Powerblock stereo amplifier. Phonic Helixboard Firewire MkII desk, Ethos TLE Overdrive on custom pedalboard with a few choice analogue pedals. Lexicon MPX-G2 effects processor.Anything else?

I see myself as a musical catalyst - I have many ideas, but need to share them with other artists in order for them to come to fruition. I look forward to meeting and collaborating with like minded musicians in the near future. These demos are not a shadow of what I am capable of once the right chemistry exists between myself and other musicians. So far that has rarely manifested, but I live in the hope that one day soon the Universe will bring about that meeting.
