The Trist
In a world where rock has become a victim of stagnation and screaming, The Trist supplies the solution to the problem by using great songwriting and melody!
The Trist is a Sacramento, CA area band showcasing the talents and imagination of its members developed through years of musical experience.
The Trist produces all-original songs ranging from mid-tempo rock story telling to heartfelt ballads and rockin blues. Songs with drive and an easy hook to catch your ear. Fitting somewhere between adult contemporary and an edgier sound reminiscent of classic 70s & '80's era rock bands, The Trist has created an Adult Rock sound all their own! Its original classic rock for the new millenium.
Comprised of an experienced trio of musicians well versed in both cover and original bands, The Trist creates a fun and exciting sound without being overpowering to any age of listener.
Our music has been loosely categorized as a mixture of The Eagles, Dave Matthews Band and Toad the Wet Sprocket.

The three founding members of this band knew each other in high-school and have played together off and on over the last 25+ years. It definitely helps to share a similar mindset and playing style.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
We've played at Sacramento Area Art Walks, Coffee Houses, Wineries, Private Parties and Fundraisers. We enjoy playing out for the fun of it.
Your musical influences
We grew up in the 70s and 80s and we believe that shows in our songs and arrangements. We don't try to fit into any particular style, we just write it the way we hear it. If it sounds bluesy, jazzy, pop, rock, country.. it doesn't matter to us. It is what it is.
What equipment do you use?
Gretsch Drums, Carvin Guitars & Basses, Epiphone Guitars & Fender Amps, Yamaha & Carvin Amplifiers, Behringer P.A., Chauvet Lights and various other gizmos.
Anything else?
We like to consider ourselves as classic rock for the new millenium. We just hope you enjoy our music. It's usually got an easy hook and a little more than just three-chord wonders.
