This song was remastered with additional tracks in December 2008. It has a real bass track in it which makes it complete musically. The bass of the song was originally substituted with extra guitar tracks, this made the track sound 'muddy'

My name is Ward and I am the sole musician in "The Speak Easy House Band". These songs are a mix of whatever mood I am in when feeling creative. There is everything from distorted heavy rock, to electric blues, to acoustic folk type melodies. Some of it is instrumental, and some has lyrics. I have attempted to arrange the song list in an order from top to bottom as follows: heavy rock, to acoustic and blues.
This is a one man in the basement deal, and to record and write as the only contributor takes some time, I'll try to keep this updated with new material as time permits.I am a guitar player first and everything else second. It takes me a while to come up with lyrics, but I'm getting quicker with that.
he last time I played live for real was at "The Barbecue for the cure" at Whortlekill Rod and Gun club in Hopewell Junction NY. I occasionally wull play live at the house when I have a party and all available musicians are around, namely a drummer and bass buthav ebeen know to just jam with a drummer and me on vocals and guitar...:)
Sabbath,Zeppelin,Rainbow,Ozzy,Dio, Sex Pistols,Deep Purple,Aerosmith,Boston, Van Halen, Faces, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Motorhead, Elvis , Beatles, The Beach Boys, Cream, Jimi Hendrix etc.I grew up in the 80's and still listen to that type of Heavy guitar rock that was poular then,I'm very guitar and drum oriented and influenced
I play Fender guitars. Mainly Stratocasters, or Stra t variants. I have a Charve l SoCal, as well as a few Squiers, a Stra t and a Tele. I have a Les Paul for when the mood arises. Electronics, I use various brands. You can never have enough stomp boxes. Boss, Digitech, Ibanez, Dunlop, RD Electronic, MXR. To make a few. Marshall, Peavey, and Crate amps. Ludwig drums, Boss drum machine.
It is challenging being a one man recording act, and I can hear mistakes in the recordings, so go easy on them, It can be time consuming putting these songs down and I sometimes wish I could record a whole band live and go back and overdub like Jimmy Page did on Led Zeppelin 1. Anyway if you can listen through the production I think you will find that these are, for the most part, good musical ideas really.
