My name is Rick Lofton and I go by the name of Quill. I'm an author, journalist, and songwriter with over a decade of experience in the industry. I live in Las Vegas and write mostly R&B and Hip Hop.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
I was published at 11 as a poet and evolved into a ghostwriter within the industry by chance. I work as a vocal producer and creative director.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
While I myself don't perform, I have been the stage manager and creative director for countless shows.
Your musical influences
I am heavily influenced by Missy Elliot, famed pianist Victor Borge, Jimmy Hendrix, Lauren Hill, and Kanye West.
What equipment do you use?
Pro Tools, Ableton, and my good old lap top.
