Band/artist history
THE PINK DELICATES started out in 1995 as THE GWENS, a four piece band steeped in the vocal harmonies of the Everly Brothers and traditions of 60s pop music. After releasing several singles and the full length album DEVILS CLIFF, they disbanded and reformed as THE PINK DELICATES. Main songwriter KEVIN NEBLUNG, a GWENS founding member, is now joined by former late stage Gwens players Tony Marchitelli (guitar), Mike Santoro (bass) and John Fedele (drums). Theres still a bit of THE GWENS in their sound, but musically their new album WHO STOLE THE QUIET DAY incorporates many styles of music. From surf (Surf Pajama Party) to pop (Fall Down Stairs, Follow You) to rock (Throwin Rocks, Open Door) experimental rock (Sou Del eu Elevado, Harry Knipples) and much more, theres new stuff to explore with each listen. Its a record with varied influences that flows together like a great party.
