The Happy Hour
These are songs I've written from 2004 to the present day. I write, sing (or try to), and record this whole mess on my computer. One day I might put together an actual band but for now, I do what I can.
I don't think there's any one style I adhere to. I go through phases, but I try to push myself and experiment as often as possible.
Since these songs just HAD to be uploaded in 128 form, and since my recording equipment is primitive at best, the sound quality might not be great and some of my lyrics might not be easily made out. This all began in high school when a friend showed me a tablature program that allowed playback. The idea of writing my own songs was very exciting to me, so I began churning out the sorriest excuses for songs that probably have ever been written. Over time, I learned the basics and how to use the program to compensate for my lack of musical training, and my songs became better.
In mid-2004, I realized that I could record vocals over these instrumental tracks with a ten dollar microphone and the Sound Recorder program on my computer. I started off recording comedic songs, but quickly became interested in recording serious music.
To this day, I'm not a very good musician or songwriter. I try new things all the time and I do the best I can. My style is rather repetitive and simple, but I've grown to like it.Your musical influences
