One man band from San Jose, California. Currently living in North Hollywood. -Jonathan M. Hart-
Band/artist history
I was born and raised in San Jose California. I graduated from Piedmont Hills Highschool in 1999. I attended UC Santa Cruz, where I got exposed to the underground music scene. I started composing music in 2003 while attending UC Santa Barbara. After graduating with degree in Film Studies, I moved down to North Hollywood. I started making music on Ejay in 2000. I really enjoyed doing that but I wanted to come up with my own trax to sequence so I got into Fruity Loops, Reason, Audacity, and Sound Foundry, and I've been hooked ever since. I play all my music and then put it into my computer where I apply delays, filters, reverbs and so on to the sound.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
Well I play the piano.. I can't really play live yet. All my music is electronically done on my computer and keyboard. I've began to touch upon the guitar. Who knows what the future holds...
Your musical influences
Well I used a lot of chord progressions from rock, drum beats from hip hop and freestyle, and the instruments are from classical. The first CD I ever bought was Psykosoniks, an electronica rap/rock industrial group. I loved it and it got me into all kinds of music. Classical music was my first musical love so that influences my pieces a lot. Mr. Spektor and the Wall of Sound. I like to hit your ears with a plethora of sounds blended ever so nicely.
What equipment do you use?
I use fruity loops 4, along with sound foundry, audacity, and Gold Wave . Also I use a . Thats about it right now. So we will see how that goes.
