The G.E.B. (Green Eyed Brotha)
Let me take a few minutes of your time to tell you who I am. I am the Green Eyed Brother. I have been behind the scenes in the music scene. In the late 90's I was a talent scout for Citybird Entertainment which is headed by Rodney M. Brooks. I helped him build up his roster of artists over the years. I later ventured off & started writing songs again. I once wrote songs in my teens but never really pursued anything. I then recorded a few songs for compilations that were being released. At that time I was writing songs & raps that dealt with worldly issues but over the years I developed my own persona & started talking about more positive issues.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
I started off as a worldly rapper causght up in the world & materialist mess.My eyes have opened & I have seen the light.My lyrics are from the heart & listeners can relate to what I am saying.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
I do not play anything live except a lil talkbox every now & then.
Your musical influences
My influences was my uncle George Thompson who passed away earlier this year in '08.He always loved music.He played the accordian...guitar....piano...& organ.He was 92 when he passed away.I did "Angels Still Cry" as a dedication to him.Also my aunt Mirt is the rock of my life her & uncle George raised me from a baby till I was 7.
