Classic Hardrock... heavily influenced by Deep Purple and Iron Maiden. Sick dudes!
The Front Studio was founded in 2009, situated in Maasmechelen, Belgium. We offer high-quality recording and mixing, and also offer our mastering services. We don't prefer recording a genre, but we are the most experienced when it comes to genres like Metal, Metalcore, Hardcore, Post-Hardcore, etc.
The opening date for our studio has been delayed for quite a while now, but our REAL OPENING DATE is set for June 2011 (or even earlier). If you're interested feel free to contact at:

My personal music influences vary from Post-Hardcore bands such as The Devil Wears Prada and Underoath to more rock bands such as Saosin and Thrice. Also, a lot of Metal music (f.e. A Hero A Fake, Parkway Driv, Periphery) is coming my way lately. What equipment do you use?
I have, for guitar and bass tracking, a Line 6 Studio Pod and a Lexicon I-Onix that have instrument inputs for amp-less recording. I have various selections of amp simulations that will provide you with the perfect tone. This means you'll have less sounds in your recordings that you don't want to have there than when you record with a mic. Amp-less recording has a lot of advantages AND disadvantages and I'm not going to explain them all here!
For vocals: I have a Sontronics STC-2 which is perfect for clean vocals, but also screamed vocals just because this microphone is so realistic. I'm also looking for a mic that's a little more appropriate for screamed vocals.
For drums: I don't have a drum myself so you will need to BRING YOUR OWN DRUM WITH YOU! I use the Shure Drum Mics for drum recording, they're pretty badass!
Any instrument: Bring them with you! Your guitar, your bass, violin, synthesizer. It's always best to record with gear that you're used to! As long as it's quality material.
Mixing: I have various HD plugins from Cakewalk and Sonitus plus a wide selection of Waves plugins.
Mastering is a mysterious aspect of finalizing your recording. It not only requires decent plugins that sonically maximize your recording, but also a good ear to HEAR if your mastered song also SOUNDS ok! That's what I TRY, but not always succeed in. If my masters are not good enough for you I can refer you to other mastering engineers in my neighbourhood or even from another country that'll make the mix sound good and are very budget friendly!
