Band/artist history
If the Lost Boys were going to throw a masquerade ball in the Catacombs, The Divine Madness is the band they would hire to play the gig. The band- equal parts Gothic fairytale, rock opera and hypnogogic seduction- took their name from Socrates, who defined the divine madness as the sort of insanity that is a gift from the gods and gives us poetry, mysticism, love and even philosophy itself. The music from their double album Secrets swerves between genres- focusing merely on lush vocals and experimental instrumentation.
Lead singer Victoria Mazze was kind enough to complete the Moue musician questions. For more of the lovely Ms. Mazze, keep tuned to this site for another upcoming interview that will expand upon her views of the American music scene and explore where the band is headed next musically.
