The Cross Family

The legacy of the Cross Family from Ft Lauderdale FL officially began under the leadership of their father the late Gene Cross in 2016. Gene Cross was the long time lead singer and manager for the Smiling Jubilaires also of Ft Lauderdale FL where he recorded several albums which included several hits such as Down At The Cross, The Lord Will Make A Way, Shine On Me, A Mothers Journey, One More Time, and Healing Power to name a few. He retired from the Smiling Jubilaires to follow his dream of singing along side his children and thus in 2016 Gene Cross and the Cross Family was formed. The family sung together under the leadership of their dad gaining high praise and recognition for their poise and sound until February 8, 2018 when their dad gained his wings and went home to be with the Lord. The family made a vow to keep the legacy of Gene Cross also known as The Legend going and today still travels and minister under the name of The Cross Family. Now under the leadership of Eugene Cross also known as Lil Gene and is no stranger to the quartet world from his time with Arthur Crume and The Soul Stirrers, Clarence Fountain and The Blind Boys, and recently Spencer Taylor and The Highway Q Cs out of Chicago, IL. where he recorded with them on the Im Still Here album where he sung in the background and lead 2 songs. The children of Gene Cross are no strangers to the gospel quartet world as they are known by just about all the groups through their dads career and legacy. The Cross Family consist of Eugene Cross (Lead Singer), Angie Cross (Vocals), Andre Cross (Bass Player/Vocals), Corey Drummond (Keyboards/ Vocals), Tyrone Cross (Vocals), Chanie McIntyre (Vocals), Sharonda Brand (Vocals), Maurice Cross (Drums/Vocals), Henry Brand (Guitar), and Cedric Talton (Guitar). The Cross Family released their first single Thank You Lord in 2021 and recently released their 2nd single Walk All Over in 2022. For the Bible says train up a child as they are young, and Gene Cross trained his children growing up through the years and because of doing so, the legacy of Gene The Legend Cross is in good hands as the Cross Family continues to minister in song carrying the torch in a city near you.

We began singing as a family officially about 8 years ago under the guidance of our dad and now we keep the legacy going by continuing but we were singing at a young age
