Angels with dirty faces is the UK's newest country band, and is the brainchild of former BCMA award winners Stuart Landon (guitar/vocals) and Neil Cook (bass/vocals). The band are influenced by acts such as Lynrd Skynrd, Zac Brown Band, Restless Heart and Little Big Town among others. Although the band is a new name on the scene it is full of experience, with its lineup having toured and recorded with some big names within country and main stream music, with Stuart and Neil both former members of the critically acclaimed BCMA award winning country band Young Country who then went on to become The Landon Brothers, and worked with acts such as The Bellamy Brothers, Paul Overstreet, Billy Joe Shaver and Carlene Carter. Joining the ranks of Angels with Dirty Faces is renowned keyboard player and producer Chris Bucknall, guitar prodigy Jack Donald who became one of the youngest guitarists in the country and worldwide to pass with the highest marks with his RGT (Registry of guitar tutors) electric guitar performance diploma accredited by the London College of Music and on drums Dan Jordan. Adding to the band, on vocals, is Kalli Ashton and Amanda David. Kalli released her debut EP ‘Wings’ in 2015 with her debut single ‘Worth Your While’ getting airplay on BBC Introducing followed by BBC Local Radio thanks to support from Mark Forrest. Amanda has been performing from an early age. Regularly performing on the circuit and with a love of country music, she has secured interest from industry types over the past few years and brings a great sound to fit the Angels. All these elements form a solid musical base for Stuart's songwriting skills. The band have released a 4 track original acoustic EP and have already started work on their first studio album. Add to this, the band have enjoyed a successful 2016 Festival season playing Wolvestock, Americana, FSA, Little Mountain and Rock Ridge country music festivals as well as Stuart being invited to perform at several singer/songwriter evenings. The bands first single 'Shatter Like Glass', debuted at number 4 on the iTunes country chart and was only held off the Top 3 by the CMA anniversary song 'Forever Country'. As part of the promotion for the single, Stuart appeared of ‘Country World’ for the Keep It Country Sky TV Channel as well as Country Sessions (hosted by Pete Kennedy) on Sky Channel 266 ‘Shatter Like Glass’ has been extremely well received by both industry media and fans alike and this has set the bar for future releases.
